Viadio is an AI-powered video generation app built for the $716M AI video market. Every major competitor (Kling AI, Sora, Runway, Pika) requires text prompts — a barrier for 95%+ of target users. Viadio removes this entirely: pick a template, upload your photos, tap generate. Video in seconds, no prompt required.
Built with Flutter (iOS + Android from a single codebase), Supabase (EU-hosted, Frankfurt), and fal.ai for video generation. RevenueCat handles monetization. The full production stack — not a prototype.
Our approach
• Identified the UX gap: every competitor requires prompts, but most users can’t write them
• Designed a template-first flow: users pick a style, upload photos, and tap generate
• Chose fal.ai for generation speed and quality; drone shots and AI hug videos as launch niches
• Built queue-based architecture with webhook notifications for reliability
• Implemented atomic credit deduction via Supabase RPCs to prevent double-charges
• Automatic refunds on failed generations — the #1 complaint on every competitor is lost credits
